The outstanding quality of our Spanish properties has been recognised by three prestigious awards, ‘Best Spain Development’, ‘Best Architecture’, and the ‘Madera Verde’ environment prize.
Bentley International Property Awards
Often called the Oscars of the property industry, the Bentley Awards aim to recognise the highest levels of achievement in a range of property-related fields.
The Almanzora Bay Group won Best Spain Development and Best Architecture in 2005.
The ‘Madera Verde’ Environment Prize
Desert Springs was awarded the Spanish “Madera
Verde” (2005) Prize for Environmental Responsibility, by the Spanish Ministry of the Environment’s Association for the Promotion of Socio-Cultural Activities and The Royal Spanish Golf Federation, out of no fewer than 60 entries.
The objective of the award is to both recognise and to publicise the many positive aspects of environmental conservation that can be achieved by the voluntary efforts and work of those involved in promoting, running and managing golf courses, providing they act with all due regard, respect and care for the environmen.
The Awards Committee highlighted the tremendous response to the awards from Spanish golf courses. Some 60 courses entered the competition for the award, demonstrating a high degree of environmental awareness and concern in the golfing industry.
